A small app with a small data footprint.

Game Jam Sidekick is designed for a grown-up and child to use together. It has no accounts, advertising, behavioral analytics, or child profiles.

What stays on your device

Project titles, ideas, progress, optional artwork, playtest notes, and completed postcards are stored in your browser’s IndexedDB. A purchased prompt-pack license and its most recent verification result are stored in localStorage. We do not receive this creative project data.

What leaves your device

If you buy or restore Fresh Tracks, the checkout and license verification are handled by Sociobot’s billing API. Verification sends the license token and product slug; it does not send project contents. Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record and handles payment and refund records under its own legal obligations.

Your choices

You can export every project as a JSON backup, download individual postcard images, import a backup on another device, or clear all local projects from the More screen. Uninstalling the app or clearing browser storage may erase local data.

Children

Sidekick does not knowingly collect personal information from children. A parent or guardian should supervise use and should avoid putting identifying information into game titles, artwork, or shared postcards.
