Terms for making tiny games.

Game Jam Sidekick is a creative facilitation tool, provided “as is.” A parent or guardian should supervise use by children and decide what artwork or postcards are appropriate to share.

Free and paid features

The 20-card core deck, project workflow, local gallery, backup, and postcard tools are free. Fresh Tracks is an optional $9 one-time purchase that unlocks 12 additional prompts. It is not a subscription.

Purchases and refunds

Sociobot/Dodo is the merchant of record. Checkout, receipts, taxes, and refunds are handled there. A refunded, expired, revoked, or wrong-product license will no longer unlock paid prompts. Accessibility, safety, and data export remain available without payment.

Your work

You keep ownership of the games, notes, and artwork you create. The app stores them locally and does not host or publish games. You are responsible for saving backups and for having permission to share anything included in a postcard.

Acceptable use

Do not use the service to break the law, harm others, or infringe someone else’s rights. The included prompts and original product artwork may be used for personal, family, or classroom game-making.

Limits

Browsers and devices can lose local data. Export a backup for work you care about. To the maximum extent allowed by law, the provider is not liable for lost local data or indirect damages.
